At the bottom of the sea is where there merman came to me
He gave me a fallen star, I trapped it up in a rusty jar
At the bottom of the sea is where the merman gave me an offering
that I took so openly, until he cursed my memory
Sea spiders of dark waters, follow me, protect my sanity

Black octopi at the back of my mind,
Beneath the rocks they hide
Well I tried to leave them behind,
I think they followed the tide
Black octopi, over the rocks they climb
When the time is right they'll emerge to the surface of the world that waits inside

At the bottom of the sea is where the merman cursed me
He left me in the dark
At the bottom of the sea, all the creatures surrounded me
and in a daze I swam away to the mermaids on the bay
