Trotterhead from CRYPTIDS by Stone Breath
Trotterhead appears in "The Long Lost Friend", a book of folk magic, spells, and prayers well known in Pennsylvania Dutch country. Related to trotterkopf, trudenkopf, drudenkopf - all nightmares and witches thought to torment people and animals. In tormenting livestock, they braided or knotted the manes of horses. These knots are still called “witch knots” today. In recent times bigfoot creatures have also been blamed for knotting and braiding horses’ manes. This song is an interpretation and expansion of the charm against the Trotterhead, as written in "The Long Lost Friend".
