"hothead" . . . an album that pulls together my love of textural sonics that are free of time signatures and traditional patterns, with the propulsive patterns available to me through my new creative "portal" which is the arturia minifreak. my work with minifreak has been to bring its voices to match the ones i hear in my head beforehand . . . "hothead" is about the very first stage of that "work" . . . . the first and last tracks on this album are entirely arturia microfreak . . . the other tracks are a blend. i point this out only because the microfreak knows what i would like to say . . . the minifreak benefits from being brought to that place. i hope that you enjoy this music!

"hothead" was created using an Arturia Microfreak synthesizer, an Arturia Minifreak synthesizer, Red Panda Tensor and Particle pedals, a TC Infinite pedal, a Zoom multiplex pedal, field recordings, found sounds, and all of this was at some time or another, live-room recorded onto a Zoom H4N.
