Eat Shit by Daniel Fishkin & Jim Strong
Daniel Fishkin and Jim Strong both play self-made musical instruments.
In high school, they played in rival punk bands. Several years ago they made a pact to play together once a year until they die.
The album’s title is derived from a vicious road rage incident that was enacted upon the duo while driving together outside Philadelphia in 2006.
'Disembodied howls in vacant hollows...the sound of the end of a dirt road off a few back roads, property line fence wire whips despite its rust. I hear the land around my Grandmother's country house, the electricity between the dew and lavender at 7am. What you will perceive: chickens, barking, mournful glissando, obscured cows up close. A striking reminder of the physicality of sound. Freak folk from the woodshed.'
