a pebble’s snare,
In childish games,
caught unaware.

She’s yanked to soil,
tangled tight,
In darkened locks,
obscured from light.
To the ground, she’s harshly drawn,
In tangled hair,
her freedom gone.

A jar now holds with hole atop,
A microcosm that time forgot.

As the children shake,
they grin, they peer,
Smiles mask the scare,
as she despairs.

They rattle her world
with a gleeful guise.
Dreadful the smiles
that joy disguises.

Trapped in glass, where the wild things stare,
Wings folded in the still night air.
In this realm of earth and bone,
Her essence shrouded, identity overthrown.

But hear her beat against her glassy cage,
Each thump a beat, from the heart of RAGE.

Through mist and haze, a vision gleams,
Of lost liberties and whispered dreams.
Echoes of a world where skies were free,
Now dimmed and distant, bound in captivity.
