"OFF GRID" is a reflection of the current times and how I am choosing to navigate through them. From land and property to ownership to an ever growing family structure this project is about expansion (mental, physical, spiritual). The bars are refined the beats are refined and trust me a Brother is not getting bitter with age but much better. Written in Mt. Shasta you can see that spear has become clearer on mission and purpose. This album is a journey through the human experience from joy to pain, love war, life and death, problem and possibility.

Spear (AKA Sizwe) comes from an intersecting lineage of art, education and nation building. His musical roots trace back to his Jazzman father (James Andrews) who was a member of the Pan Afrikan Peoples Arkestra led by Horace Tapscott.
Spear's first major release as an artist was with Jern Eye and Khai Sharrieff in the group Lunar Heights.
