Basileus Cerbensus by spaceseer

The Fulgen Peninsula once was home to the greatest utopia in many universes. Kingdoms rose and traded spores, substrates. The Fulgen people, their animal friends and even Kylyy tourists were thrilled to live among one another.

As the clouds of Colossi Industry thickened however, the Fulgen kingdoms of the Easternmost Peninsula became more delicate, more ill-tempered, their brilliant nuclei became calcified at the edges. Their enlightened natural state of bliss became painful, particularly for the descendant of the original Psilo founder of the unified city-state of Mycotopia, the stout and once-valiant Cerbensus.

Through these thickening skies, moods shifted away from cooperation among friends, neighbors and family for Cerbensus. Conflicts within his inner kingdom became public and wide-ranging, starting the first war over land holdings in centuries. The Civil War within Cerbensus would strengthen him to an incredibly callous degree, however it would ravage the world and politics of Mycotopia for millennia.

By the time of the Roses of War, Basileus Cerbensus has no one left to war with. So heavy is the crown of Basileus that he wishes for the frustrations of his mind to unravel and heal. Will he wear this forever, or is it time for the crown to mold in on itself?
