Hazel (1996) by Sometree

Recorded on weekends in the Werkraum of Oberschule Langelsheim, sometime in the 1995.

Sometree’s very first demo tape – recorded with modest means but a clear sense of direction. Captured by Jost Schlüter during quiet weekends at school, when the building was empty and the reverb came for free.

Sven Grasshoff played bass, Erik Langer joined on second guitar. The songs are rough around the edges, but full of the atmosphere and melancholy that would later become the band’s trademark.

Almost 30 years have passed – but the spirit of these recordings remains.
