Exorcism Meditation by snwv
Recorded live at The Exorcism Show, at the Glitterbox Theater in Pittsburgh, PA, on February 3, 2018. The performance is based on 40Hz difference tones from 80 to 560 Hz, plus randomized modulations.
The show featured different interpretations of exorcism, and this piece is a reference to studies that suggest exposure to periodic input at 40 Hz may facilitate the brain's clearing out amyloid proteins, which seems like a kind of exorcism.

Maurice Rickard is a musician, sound artist, and Deep Listening Certificate holder based in Pittsburgh. snwv is his project to create ambient environments from finely tuned oscillators and other sound sources as well (guitar, microphones, feedback). Some patches use mostly oscillators, some use delays, some use controlled amounts of randomness. Results range from gentle ambience to chaos.
