Impedimenta is the term for equipment, provisions, and tools required for a journey or for completing a task which encumber the bearer. Each track on Impedimenta explores a type of examination, a letting go, or using up of these impediments.
One by one, the compositions here take a moment to dwell on a solitary aspect of the encumbrances we carry with us; its value, it purpose, and the burden it creates.
Like a person traveling into the unknown, Impedimenta measures the real meaning of that which we perceive as necessary and attempts to appreciate in its own light the essential, the nourishing, and the sentimental.
