_dUCKSTOMP by Sleepy Gonzales
today i went for a walk at central park after hanging out at home for a while. *CONTENT WARNING* i woke up disturbed from a dream i had about k*lling one of the cats i live with. i'm not just your casual cat tolerater. I love cats. I've lived with them most of my life and they are one of my favourite animals, so this dream really shook me up. I talked to my girlfriend about it, who has been being distrubed by her dreams lately as well.
anyway, i was glad to wake up and find the cat alive and milling about. Her name is Shredder. I rolled two joints in the kitchen before I left her playing with Margot, another cat who lives with us.
I tried to hold off smoking as long as I could and made it all the way to Central Park, where I saw a bunch of ducks hanging out on a mostly frozen pond. A large section of it had thawed and they were mostly hanging there, but lots were walking up to groups of patrons, interested in crumbs and discards. Babies in strollers were perhaps seeing their first ducks ever, or maybe these are families that walk in the park all the time. Either way, they were excited to see hoards of ankle height birds waddling all around.
I walked a bunch more, smoked at the edge of the park at Patterson station, and headed home where this jam was practically underway when I stepped through the door...
