López by O the ghost
South London-born MC & artist O the ghost shares his debut single ‘López’ on Síbín. The ballad is “deeply personal and hopefully that can make it universal. The bar was written in 30 minutes when Anja played the beat to me, including some rain she recorded on a trip away and some more out the window whilst we were recording.”
The track, produced by Anja Ngozi (DJ/composer/visual artist), combines layers of delicate guitar strings with subtle field recordings. Creating an atmosphere that invites the listener in to experience moments of love, loss as well as hope, whilst journeying through London’s metropolitan landscape.
The single is accompanied by a new music video, directed and edited by Bridie O’Sullivan (co-directed & co-edited by Ngozi). Shot entirely in a day across London, and marrying digital, film and Super 8 optics to bring about a visual mirroring the songs emotive core and existentialist tones.
