Eye Contact by Tendres
Created under the spell of young naivety and obsessive exploration, Tendres’ debut is an inspired take on the “one man band” format - recorded during the ages of 16 to 18, ‘Eye Contact’ creatively appropriates toys and household items as the percussive footing on which the adolescent songwriting stands. An enveloping hiss is embedded into the album's DNA, a lo-fi recording comprised of many layered guitars that still feels minimal with it's pure intent.
Definitely falling in line with the bedroom pop aesthethic yet constantly deviating towards the psychedelic and striving for more, ‘Eye Contact’ is truly a do-it-yourself effort.
