Hope by Shuāilǎo 衰老
These three songs resulted from an effort to record a fusion of fun 80s pop rock and metal. Curiously, a previously unacknowledged ska influence made a modest appearance in the form of French horns… Go figure. Unfortunately, the drums, horns, and strings are programmed samples, but I did the best that I could with the tools available to me at the time. I had plans to rework them with all live instruments, but at this stage in my life, I just don’t have the wherewithal to do so, hence their rerelease as-is.

My decades-long journey with music has brought me to my 40s, where I primarily record a mix of sludge, doom, alternative, and grunge metal.
My 30s were also a crucial era for me. I produced an orchestral trilogy using VSTs to honor my lifelong love of film and video game scores.
