Treeside by Shivananda Ishaya

On this album i explore different drum fills played as drum beats repetitively, ratamacue, paradiddles, drag paradiddle, seven double stroke roll, single drag tap, double drag tap,etc... It took me a little while to make the drum fills into beats and get comfortable with where to place to the kick drum. I decided to put the kick drum with right hand hit's on the ride, hi-hat, and toms. I did not use the china cymbal in this recording. After recording the drumset I choose to add hand percussion. I used the latin son clave pattern alot on the shaker, frog and clave sticks, It is a 3-2 clave pattern counted 1 2 3 space 1 2. I played the jazz swing pattern on the shaker on part of one song as well as the blues cymbal pattern on one part of the same song which goes 1 2 space 1 2. I also added doumbek, bongos and more hand percussion. I hope you enjoy listening to it and remember to go outside by a tree you enjoy. If you do reiki you can do reiki on the trees and draw the symbols on them. A guy named matt ,who is a reiki master with a afro, taught me to do reiki on the tree's.
