For Maurice by Shivananda Ishaya

I went into the St.Louis, Missouri loop one day and found this black guy sitting there outside of the thai restaurant hungry so I asked him if he wanted to eat thai food with me. He said he was sick of thai food and wanted a burger so i gave him money to buy a burger. Another time I drove 50 minutes ish one way to drop off a nice coat off to him and get him some more cash for food and to give him a hug. His name was Maurice. He is a nice black guy who was always nonviolent. I disagree with people when they think the homeless who ask for money shouldn't get it. I've given homeless my lunch before. I gave one black homeless guy around salisburg st. in st.louis $100.00 and he left and never asked me for money again. I gave another women there a full wine bottle of 9.5 kangen water. I gave $100.00 to a woman by the blues stadium and she said praise jesus. Another time me and friend meet a homeless black man downtown and took him to dinner with us. Another younger white guy was on the street of south grand me and sowande mustakeem(amalghemy's singer/drummer) took to dinner with us at a Vietnamese restaurant. In alton,il I shared a apple with a woman in a wheelchair. The last time I saw Maurice I gave him some money to buy some cookies and I was playing my tongue drum in the st.louis loop and he brought me a cookie back.
