Final Destination by Shiryu
As you are reading this on release day, yesterday was my sixth and last preventive IV chemo session. So I pretty much imagine I will be spending most of my day bed or sofa ridden. Yet pain is momentary but music is forever. As you might imagine the past six month hiatus was one not of my choice. Surgery, recovery, IV chemo and pills treatments plus I still need to eventually close up my Ileostomy (look it up). Yet the real pain was being unable to cook up any new tracks for release despite my large WIP folder...
I decided not to try anything too fancy just yet, so I have made this Summer 2023 Live DJ Set (something I haven't done in years!) featuring no less than ten tracks from as far back as 2008 to the most recent bangers of 2022. The end result is an hour long 145 bpm set that your neighbours will be quite upset about but I trust you will all enjoy!
I'm used to making a ton of music and then have nearly zero reach because I don't really invest in marketing and awareness. I have always been too focused on the next mission, the next project, the next track. the next... "thing". Not so much any more, that dragon cancer inevitability changes a person for better or for worse. Please live you life to the fullest. Quoting "Babylon 5":
