Dies Irae by Shiryu

I have made peace with the fact that last year's "xX+Xx" could very well be the best original album I have ever produced in the past two decades, so for this year traditional music released for my birthday I decided not to even try to pull something as ambitious as that. In fact I went overboard with both a intro and outro that take a huge chunk of "Dies Irae", this new eight track album I spent the last few months working on. I really don't know exactly where my mind has been for this time because judging from the end results it must not have been a very good place. I promise I am a much more cheerful person in real life and I hope you still enjoy this darker than usual entry into my life's ongoing works.

I managed to sneak in a couple o tributes to two great actors that are no longer among us (Heath Ledger and Rutger Hauer) along with an overdue, well deserved tribute to 2013 "Dredd", one of my top 5 favourite movies of the past decade. On that note, I do hope none of you feel assaulted by "22nd Century Poem" or thing I am trying to push some sort of hidden lobby agenda onto you. I just kept working on and off on that album conclusion track and Greta Thunberg speech at the U.N. is something I wanted to immortalize for future reference and that's what I did. I must also admit the interlude track "Nv Mecca" stinks of Spice Melange all over! My minds does wonder to familiar places when I am working on these, does it not? I hope you enjoy another celebration of my life with this humble album offering.
