[SOFT DEMO] by Sheepish Wonder

written and recorded between 2022 and 2023 while i was moving around a lot. i had to leave this album for a while cause i couldn't finish it without a drummer but then i met my friend ben who i started 'your favorite person' with and he helped me finish it by drumming on "good friend" "wicked world" and "fling"

i mixed and mastered it and recorded everything in my bedroom except the drums which we did in bens attic.

songs other than the ones i mentioned above that contain drums were done on midi by me.

soft demo is the sister album to how to overcome your alcohol or drug problem. certain songs expand on the themes and storylines from that record, i wrote them at the same time as one piece but they broke into two as i was working on them. biggest loser is the end of the story, and takes place years later, the ancestors of jane are able to break free of the family curse and escape their dream into a new world.

both albums mirror each other in reverse. the last song on how to overcome is the christmas song and the first song on soft demo is the birthday song. they also parallel across, both opening songs start with the same word leading to a feeling of dread. same problems repeating themselves one generation after the next.
