Scabs by Shaus

Guttural, Anti-Psych punks Shaus return with a new self-titled EP awash with references to the West Aussie lifestyle - a paean to the working (and not so working) class. Set to be released early 2022, the EP was recorded in a frenzy as the band raced to to finish before a snap lockdown, called by Daddy McGowan, came into effect halfway through the session. The urgency tears through your ears as the songs speed-run, raw through the suburbs, hills and into the outback.

Lead single Scabs is a rock n roll banger, an ode to yob-ism, youth and the beach. A cheeky throwback to the pub-rock of yesteryear, that doesn’t let up from the moment Ryan Nash's greasy guitar lick kicks it off. Featuring Van Halen inspired synth, relentless, powerhouse drumming and a sing-a-long chorus, Scabs is set to be the soundtrack to the long, hot, beachside summer.
