SONARTEMPEST by VCRSLOT
Well versed in the arts of of expert synthwork, VCRSLOT's creation known as SONARTEMPEST is only one of many enviable releases piled on top of her catalog. Strong, hard hitting percussive beats ride underneath chords and notes that feel extremely smooth to the ear, providing a dichotomy between the two that melds together exceedingly well.
The textures used for these tracks also shows a wide variety of emotion in their creation and execution, from the more relaxed tones used to create the melodies of Cruiseheart to a layer of something that almost feels like melancholy draped over On The Pier. Synth stings on the latter lay almost subdued in the finest of ways with a layer of effects that makes it feel like being surrounded by a slight, pleasant chill during a sunny day.
Without taking at least a cursory listen to this album, many fans of both vapor and chillwave alike will find themselves losing out on a very finely crafted experience.
