SHAMIN are thrilled to present Barefaced, the culmination of an extended period spent refining their unique compositional approach, development of a distinct musical language, and a deeply woven improvisational interplay.
The group has emerged as one of Australia’s premier contemporary/experimental ensembles, performing extensively at festivals such as the Wangaratta Festival of Jazz, Sydney Women’s International Jazz Festival, and Brisbane International Jazz Festival.
The duo — featuring Sophie Min and Benjamin Shannon — have performed widely at home and abroad, with a combined creative output of over 40 recorded releases, contributing significantly to the Australian experimental and jazz landscape.
