Waha by Shameer

‘Shameer’ is the result of a search for a more personal sound. He brings classic Arab melodies and instrumentation to contemporary dancefloors, mixing them with incisive and tribal rhythms from Grime or Hard Drum, and a special focus on bass frequencies, common in UK electronic music.

As the result of all these influences, ‘Waha’ (Oasis in English) is born.
A 5-track EP that sparks imagination and takes you on a journey to a futuristic desert, through intriguing sonic landscapes like ‘Altraiq’, culminating with a relentless storm of zurna, darbukka, and tilbat drums, right after ‘Waha’, the track that gives name to the EP.
