a concept album exploring themes of not fitting in, the anguish of change, and how transformation can be difficult, but also bring hope for a better future. the cocoon is the life stage of a butterfly where it undergoes metamorphosis, changing from caterpillar to butterfly, a process that leaves the individual scarcely the same creature as before - and yet a shadow of the old self remains in the new self.
