IMAGO eclipses SHADOW WORK's previous EP with a refreshing palette of fervent daydreams and pastel languor. While it recasts a number of similar themes within the project – inner darkness, cycles of self-renewal, and the pain of transcendence – the moody, art-rock trio paints a uniquely vibrant and meticulous path through a colorfully obscure landscape. To them, this sophomore EP is a psychological landmark: a second oasis on the collective journey toward integration, development, and inner peace.

IMAGO was recorded and edited in the band's quaint and comfy home studio in Denver, Colorado. It was mixed by Ryan Morgan from The Tonic Room Studios. Mastering was handled by Kris Krummet of Interlace Audio. The track “Sombody to Love” was mixed and mastered by John Scott from Phoenix Down Recording Company.
