DIVULGENCE by Agape Horizons
Agape Horizons' music has been catching our eye for a while now, so we're glad to host this new piece by them on the curational label. Slow, calming, almost apprehensive in its approach, this album is almost entirely made for relaxing to after a long day. Elements of slushwave, ambient vapor, and drone mix together to create something special. From back to front, DIVULGENCE encourages a state of restfulness while it is being played, making sure to reinforce the mood at every step.
The effects work curves to the side on the tracks more influenced by light drone elements, letting the bare sounds of the sample poke through while keeping them subdued underneath the excellent care taken to its sound levels. Each of these moments is left rounded out and whole, yet not overbearing in any way. Engaging, yet in a way that allows it passively, almost like appreciation of the sounds through osmosis.
As always, their work is excellent throughout this release, culminating in something that feels dense after a full listen, yet absolutely smooth from front to back. Perfect for relaxation and ideal for a lazy afternoon.
