But today paint me something great
something to remember me by when I'm away

just notes on empty page
with staff-lines paving the way
rhythms flow as the canvas
the tones are the paint

of a song I never heard
I wondered how it would sound
tried to play but i just couldn't figure it out

But today
I'll play you something great
something to remember me by when I'm away
but if you must dedicate that movement to the dust
