Let's take a walk past the bridge
Past the houses of our all of our friends from when we were young
and all the other kids we knew through our brothers and sisters
It felt like we could never get away

Let's take a walk past the hill
Through the sticks of my forefathers and over the palette bridges left over by the ones before us
If only they knew the way they were paving

We'd make our way to the bench where we would defy all the lessons they taught

They always tried to scare us with the dangers of the way we were headed
Told us if we followed that road that we'd never make it anywhere

But we were always up for an adventure
Always looking for a way to escape
And we knew about the perfect time and place

We'd stay just long enough to waste the day
And watch the sun fall down and fade away
Beneath the repeating tree line

Tell me what you think about your old friends
and how still to this day they're still your good friends
I bet it's not because they're symbols of morality and

Tell me what you think about the road you chose
and how you don't regret a thing you did
I bet you wouldn't change what got you here
