Nankoumandjan from Two Sessions by Sean Gaskell
Nankoumandjan Camara was a person of great wisdom, having been sought for advice by the very first emperor of the Mande Kingdom. The emperor, Sunjata Keita and Nankoumandjan, came up with a plan for initial expansion of the empire in the mid 1200's.

Sean Gaskell features songs on the West African kora- commonly a 21 or 22 stringed harp.
He learned to play over the course of multiple visits to Gambia and Senegal, where he studied with Malamini Jobarteh, Moriba Kuyateh, Youssoupha Cissokho and Mamadou Cissokho.
He tours regularly throughout the United States and Canada primarily as a solo act.
