The Pillowman by Scott Hunt
The Pillowman Soundtrack is music composed by Scott Hunt for the February 2019 production run of The University of Toledo's “The Pillowan,” Directed by Quincy Joyner. The play was written in 2003 by Tony Award winning, Irish playwright Martin McDonagh. Hunt's soundtrack is written for violins, cellos, piano, voices and synthesizer. The vast majority of music was composed (with Joyner's direction) to accompany specific stories told by the main character of the play Katurian. Scott has said his true inspiration was to capture the lovingly melancholy relationship between both the brothers Katurian and Michal (portrayed by Grace E. Mulinix and Becca M. Lustic respectively). This tender, yet somber tone can be observed most in the final track “The Pillowman (Soft As).” This production of “The Pillowman” was truly captivating and provocative. The set, costumes, sound design, direction, music, and especially the acting performances struck a chord with audiences each and every performance.

When composing his unique form of electro dance flavored music, Scott goes under the moniker "Hunter." Hunt also works as a composer providing original music for independent films, television and the theatre.
