"Chummage" - [early 19c] an old custom among prisoners when a fresh reprobate is admitted to their number, consisting of a rough music made with pokers, tongs, sticks and saucepans.

The Arch Quartet met through the London Improvisers Orchestra, and convened for this one-off session
We set up, improvised, and went home
Although this quartet did not play together again, we all played in various combinations over the years, so it was a starting point for several other projects
