sapuy (Torch) from VAIVAIK 尋走 by Sauljaljui

The inspiration for this song came from a day when Sauljaljui saw a firefly floating toward her newly completed fire pit. She was especially excited, as it was the only firefly she had seen since moving into her new home. Sauljaljui remembered her mentor once telling her that if we can’t be stars or the moon, then we should be a firefly, illuminating ourselves and those around us! At that time, she had just finished an overseas tour and missed her brothers and sisters living in distant islands. So, she wrote this song. "Fire" brings us together and symbolizes the support between lives. Each person is a torch, shining in front of one another.
