The Burning by Saint Elisabeth

1864 - Union Cavalryman Phil Sheridan is sent to the Shenandoah Valley by U.S. Grant to destroy the breadbasket of the South. Sheridan is ruthless in carrying out his task of bringing the horrors of war home to the civilian population of the South. “The Burning” was methodical and pitiless. Sheridan’s eyes grew wide as his horsemen cut a swath through Virginia. Noise cut through the nostrils of beasts and men as flames touched the sky. Onward, horsemen, to Insanity.
