COTU (FX) from COTU by Saied Silbak
COTU (EP) was recorded during Covic in 2020 in London.
In addition to Covid being a horrible and tough period, there were many experiments and sparks
During that time and these resulted in this EP.
The music was composed by Saied Silbak, who is known for experimenting with the Oud and stretching the
Instrument's boundaries by introducing it to new and innovative contexts, as well as blending the
authentic, acoustic sound of the instrument with new environments.
In this EP Silbak brings beautiful melodies on the Oud along side a drum kit and electronics.

Saied Silbak is a Palestinian composer and oud player. He began training in classical piano at the age of four, before moving onto the oud in his early teens to delve deep into the nuances at the base of Arabic music. Silbak has a unique understanding of different types of music, from Arabic, Turkish and Indian to classical Western styles.
