Coordinates.01 by Various Artists

Part of an ongoing compilation series, Coordinates.01 is the debut release from the Austin, Texas based label, Saeiound, 'a music archive with emphasis on innovative production, emotive composition, and ambiance; fusing machines and feelings into stories through song'.

001, the setting or 'Background', is a chilling and mysterious 12-minute ambient introduction to the dimension of Saeiound by Southern Californian and well-respected producer/mastering engineer, Ion Driver. 002 comes from Austin, Texas artist Somatoast who delivers a captivating progression from ambiance through midtempo euphoria to total disintegration. Melbourne, Australia's Auma shows what he's been up to during his recent few, mostly quiet years with 003, 'If You Have It'; a climactic build into the bright and colorful realms of bliss. Auma returns for 004, debuting his new collaboration project alongside Jamie McLean, aka 'Dinode', with their first track 'T1'; an instruMental journey with sax and piano into a cinematic world of dubstep, glitch, and a driving four on the floor climax, while facilitating a feeling of nostalgia and peace. To close out the first chapter of coordinates, 005 is from Russian composer/producer Mindex, who shows his soft side with 'Lullaby'; a lush, ambient utopia reminiscent of a beach shore, where the breeze meets the rhythmic tide of the ocean, accompanied by an acoustic guitar.
