Manieczki Soundscapes by Jacek Szczepanek / Kolektyw Terenowy
Jacek Szczepanek was born in Warsaw in 1984. He is a professional field recordist. At time of release of this album his own sound library consists of some 2500 files.
Szczepanek's sound art was usually made with many other people and located in public space. “Concert for Housing Estate Yells” was made with people in a Warsaw high-rise residential area. With "Heavy Industry is Me" he convinced people to beatbox the sonic memories of their work in a coal mine and a steelworks.
His other passion is building wood-burning masonry heaters.
