Sanftes Land from Sanftes Land by Russudan Meipariani, Hans-Joachim Irmler

During the recordings of Russudan Meiparianis "Night Songs from an old City" in Fauststudio Scheer the free improvisations-sessions did surrender between the operator of studio and an icon of german Krautrock Hans-Joahim Irmler and Russudan Meipariani. Sanftes Land is a short cutout of it, inspired through the surroundings of Fauststudio, which based in building a former papier factory looks straight to Donau.
Russudan playes with her voice and georgian words, times carreied, times irritated through an analoge organ of Irmler, times they move apart, times they melt to a common landscape, which was bei Irmler spontaniosly called Sanftes Land (Soft land).

Russudan Meipariani is a Georgian composer, pianist and singer.
Her music combines classical, minimal music, georgian polyphonie, contemporary new music, and works with elements of pop culture. The soundscape that Russudan's music creates is academic and archaic, contemplative and extrovert, dreamy and wild, strange and familiar at the same time.
