This song is dedicated to my late grandmother. It was produced on a ride back home to attend her funeral.
The whole experience was very sobering and surprisingly up lifting. Familial bonds in Latin culture hits different, in a lot of ways, this brought me closer to my immediate family and parts of my roots that I hadn't experienced in years.
Sharing decade old memories, quirky facets of her character and her story as a Cuban refugee really helped us process her passing and left us empowered by her legacy and tenacity.
This song represents the bittersweet feelings of catharsis and acceptance of this experience.
