Vegvisir from Seidsang by Rúnahild
This song relfects my journey into my inner underworld and darkness, triggered an emotional collapse to embrace the energy of the storm and chaos. At the heart of my darkness was born the song «Vegvisir» (the one to show the way) which was inspired after a trip to a lighthouse in a storming weather in December. The trip was very much reflecting my own inner world, I was heading for the lighthouse of Kråkenes which is known to be one of the heaviest place and most stormy on the west coast of Norway. The lighthouse was referred to as Vegvisir on a newspaper article - the guiding light in the roughest storms keeping you safe away and helping you find your way when everything seems dark and harsh. The sea itself is also symbol for the subconscious and for the hidden emotions and our inner mysteries. This song is therefore connected to the previous one Disir, representing the light shining in the darkest places and reaching to the depth of the inner and hidden sea of emotions.
Rúnahild is a free spirited ethereal folk and folktronica project, hailing from an off-grid wooden cabin in the mountains of Norway. Inspired by her healing journey and spiritual connection to nature, her music aims to hold space for others to explore their own inner universe.
