Have been before the world begun
Before the ocean and the sun gave birth to me

And when the first one crawled ashore
Leaving all he knew before
Behind him on the ocean floor
Setting out to explore his home
His home

And every astronaut in space
Reaches out to touch the face of God
But there's not a trace
So he looks back to that lonely place called home
