System Twist!! by Rodney Shifflet
My second release inspired by Harmolodics, a style of free jazz created by Ornette Coleman. I approach the style as each musician playing a solo at the same time. All the instruments besides the drums and the drone on the final track were done with a guitar (sax, trumpet, bass and guitar parts). I recorded the drum parts at half speed, in 2 takes (drums, then cymbals).
