RITUAL

(noun) 2. An act or series of acts regularly repeated in a set precise manner

The new music for Ritual is inspired by Afro-Colombian grooves (porro and cumbia) and Afro-Cuban influences (guajira, son and descarga). I unabashedly add to the mix Motown inspired bass lines (played on a Novation Bass Station II keyboard), jazz and Latin fuzzed electric guitar. Plus, a Brazilian singer (Flavia Nascimento) and a Cuban singer (Adan de Dios) add to create an original and universal electrified creole, amplified by the tropical street sounds (captured on the streets of Colombia). The result is an infectious collection of modern tropical dance-floor fillers.
