The late ‘50s debut from Jim Ed Brown and his harmonising sisters Maxine and Bonnie. Filled with fiddle and steel just the way an aching Dillards or Burrito song should be. The Browns were active through the late ‘50s to 1967 when Jim went solo eventually having a string of hits in the late ‘70s when he duetted with Helen Cornelius. Maxine also pursued a short but unsuccessful solo career following the trio’s demise. Filled with real heartbreak tunes, their debut is a must hear, the ballad ‘I Guess I’m Crazy’ the perfect place to start.
