Nzo by Reniss

"Nzo" is an energetic celebration of African musical tradition. "Nzo" harkens back to classic African singers of the 60s and 70s. Produced by Cameroon’s acclaimed producer, Le Monstre, Nzo (which means “future/tomorrow” in her dialect Nguemba) contains influences from many genres such as Commando (Makossa), Kwassa Kwassa (Kwassa Kwassa), Raw Money (South African Kwaito), Harambee (Highlife) and more. With Reniss’ own unique style, she creates a tapestry of songs, singing in French, Pidgin, English, Hausa, and her dialect Nguemba, bringing a classic sound back to the future. Reniss’ enchanting vocals and inimitable style prove that she is a musical force to be reckoned with on the African and global music scene.

Produit par Le Monstre; "NZO" qui signifie en dialecte Nguemba (patrimoine linguistique de l'artiste) "le Future" ou "l'Avenir;" est décrit comme une ode aux sources des musiques africaines. En plus des Artistes africains des années 60 et/ou 70, RENISS puise l'essence de cet album dans des styles tels que le MAKOSSA (cf. Commando), le KWASSA KWASSA (cf. Kwassa Kwassa) ou encore le KWAITO Sud Africain (cf. Raw Money). RENISS peint une fresque multiculturelle et multilingue en Francais, Anglais, Pidgin, Hausa et Nguemba remettant en exergue des classiques intemporels.
