Tom Bug & Grooveline land on REK’D with the ‘Dizzy’ EP. The Croatian artists arrive on the new Rekids sublabel"
"Kickstarting Tom Bug & Grooveline’s ‘Dizzy’ EP on Radio Slave’s REK’D is title track 'Dizzy', a throbbing kick drum rolling beneath raw, chattering snares. A sleazy vocal adds some swagger while all-consuming bass rolls down deep to build the pressure. 'Flush' brings more jacked-up drums, this time with broken beat patterns that have a hint of old school about them, all while vocal stabs pump the party. Add in loopy synth motifs and the sort of bass that fills a warehouse with sound, and you have another irresistible wedge of body music. Last of all is the raved-up 'Let's Dance' which gets hands in the air with rattle chord stabs and diva vocal snippets that are packed with emotive soul.
Dobar House label and club night founder Tom Bug is one of the most in-demand DJs in Croatia with a career that spans over two decades, Grooveline is his longtime friend and creative partner. The pair have mastered the art of crafting party-starting house tracks with solid grooves and the sort of emotive details that really make them hook the floor. They have done so on labels like Soulfuric Trax, Snatch! Records and Get Physical, having dropped their debut album 'Copy Machine' in 2024 and now return with a bang in 2025 on REK’D.
Matt Edwards launched REK’D in October 2024 to release no-nonsense House music without the limitations of parent label Rekids. So far, they’ve released dancefloor-ready EPs from Italian Theory Of Swing boss St. David and Nervous Records alum James Juke, Odee X, and now Tom Bug & Grooveline with the ‘Dizzy’ EP.
