“Neighbors” is a
traditionnal Iraqi song.
In the musical institute
Hussein attended only
traditional folk music
was taught, not classical.
As a result he learned to
master the asymmetric
rhythm called jurjina,
which became his
favourite. In this song,
the singer talks about
his new neighbors down
the street, whom he
greatly appreciates.
