In 2025, Redtenbacher’s Funkestra reaches a rare milestone: 30 years of groove without compromise. To mark the occasion, bandleader, bassist and composer Stefan Redtenbacher unveils FUNKOPIA — a studio album that distils three decades of experience, collaboration and persistence into a powerful artistic statement.
Recorded at Masterlink Productions in Surrey with long-standing collaborators from both sides of the Atlantic, FUNKOPIA is a forward-looking record that honours the Funkestra’s origins at Berklee College of Music (1995) while asserting its place today as one of Europe’s most enduring and independent funk-driven collectives.
