Samarana’s track “Fady” is inspired by the powerful voices of Malagasy women from Madagascar mixed with percussive and dark beats.
In the traditional Malagasy religion, the “Fady” represent what is sacred, taboo and therefore forbidden for the majority of the community.
These social rules were enacted by spirits and ancestors to protect what is sacred. The transgressions of the taboos, the "Fady" will have the effect of diminishing the power of spirits and ancestors in their role of protection.
