I drifted in and almost by mistake
I stayed beyond the summer it was neither make nor break
Until the lady that I lived with pushed me all the way to faking
And I strayed
But hanging around was fine there for a while
The beach she had her arms around me stepping with a smile
But all of that sand kept pulling me under and when the water grew to wild
I got away
Now in the stone and steel I still can feel the waves
And they keep calling me back baby calling me today

Most of what I've told you is a lie
I'm a steady man with steady hands and all my life I've tried
To push the bubbles away from the spikes, and to keep the boundary tight
And be OK

And so I close the pad and put the pen away
There's a new moon coming time to watch them play...
