The calm wind subsides as the forest rests, the glow of twilight seeming to last forever as you walk forward idly, the crackling of autumn leaves resonating through the cold wood with every step.
There was once purpose, but you feel that it's left you, and all beyond and surrounding is a mystery, an enigma softly coated in a sea of oranges and shades of brown beneath a sky swirling with the colors of the bright horizon.
The day is ending, and the forest still, but we continue on, despite the thoughts of once was, the beautiful blue which not so long ago hung above us as we were cradled among the lush green valley of saplings and blooming life.
Still, and still, and ever fading, we silence all as our journey continues; the day remains young in our hearts.
